01 - 5 medium apples (about 2 lbs), peeled, cored, and sliced

# How to Make It:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
02 - In a large bowl, toss apple slices with 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and half the brown sugar. Spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
03 - In a separate bowl, mix oats, remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and remaining brown sugar. Add melted butter and stir until crumbly.
04 - Evenly sprinkle the oat mixture over the apples in the baking dish.
05 - Bake for 35 minutes until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
06 - Allow to cool slightly before serving warm. Optionally accompany with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
